Solar Commercial Sales Executive

A Solar Commercial Sales Representative is a solar sales professional engaged in identifying, qualifying and closing solar product sales to businesses in the assigned sales territory. The position includes activities related to lead generation, initial contact and managing the entire sales process through to completion.

Project Location(s): Escalon, CA
Compensation: $100,000 annually

DUTIES

  • Meet assigned sales and gross margin goals on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis.
  • Maintain a committed and highly visible field presence with current and future clients.
  • Maintain the highest standards of professionalism, integrity and honestly in all sales related activities at all times.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor during sales calls and at company events.
  • Participate in the full sales cycle; from lead generation to sale closing.
  • Conduct financial analysis on the commercial customer’s energy usage and demonstrate the value of solar to the customer in both short-term and long-term impact.
  • Use CRM software tools to track progress and document the sales process.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in utilizing online tools to complete solar system modeling.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint.
  • Provide timely and accurate documentation of schedule, activities and expenses.
  • Generate and present professional project proposals and quotes.
  • Engage in community events, tradeshows and other events to generate sales leads.
  • Negotiate sales contracts managing overall deal size, gross margin and completion deadlines.
  • Coordinate with the operations team to effectively complete projects constantly monitoring for interruptions that may require client updates.
  • Work closely with other members of the team in a professional, engaging and productive manner.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Associates Degree, or equivalent years of experience in sales role.
  • Proficient in the use of computer based applications; including Excel, Word, Outlook and Salesforce.
  • Professional appearance.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication (presentation to groups) skills.
  • High integrity.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Must be able to handle a flexible and demanding chedule including nights and weekends.
  • Have excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Enthusiastic self-starter.
  • Occasional travel required.
  • Valid driver’s license and successful completion of background check.
