Mechanical Engineer
We are seeking a passionate Mechanical Engineer to join our recycling facility located in Mesa, AZ. As a member of our R&D team, you will play a critical role in executing mechanical projects, including the design and development of prototypes and new equipment for our solar panel silicon recycling and CdTe panel recycling lines. We are looking for a seasoned professional with a strong track record of successfully designing and building innovative mechanical solutions.
Project Location(s): Mesa, AZ
Compensation: $80,000 - $90,000 annually
DUTIES
- Develop prototypes, new tools, and equipment for the R&D department’s research activities.
- Plan, design, and execute mechanical projects related to solar panel delamination.
- Actively participate in the fabrication, assembly, and testing of prototypes and equipment.
- Prepare technical drawings, specifications, and documentation for prototypes and mechanical systems.
- Generate technical reports and present findings to the Director of R&D and other stakeholders as required.
- Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues during the prototype and equipment testing phase.
- Provide technical support and guidance to the R&D team and assist with problem-solving activities.
- Other Duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. Relevant industry experience will be considered.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in mechanical design and development, preferably within the recycling or sustainability sector.
- Demonstrated hands-on experience in planning, designing, and building prototypes, tools, or equipment.
- Proficiency in CAD software for mechanical design, such as SolidWorks or AutoCAD.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical engineering principles, materials, and manufacturing processes.
- Creative thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop innovative solutions for adverse problems.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities, with a proven track record of working effectively in a team environment.
- Detail-oriented with good organizational skills, capable of managing multiple projects and priorities.
- Familiarity with solar panel silicon recycling and CdTe panel recycling processes is a plus.
