Marine Service Engineer

We are looking for a Marine Service Engineer to join our dynamic, fast-paced Shaft Line Services team. The preferred locations for this position are Houston TX, Fort Lauderdale FL and San Diego CA. As a Marine Service Engineer, you will perform field service activities, overhauls, repairs both on site or in the workshop.

The ideal candidate has experience within the Maritime industry, more specifically with Propulsion experience with a focus on installation operation, maintenance, and repair.

Project Location(s): Within the US
Compensation: $70,000 - $75,000 annually


  • Perform Field Service activities according to the work plan.
  • Perform overhauls and repairs on assemblies on site and/or in workshops.
  • Interact professionally with customers during the work execution.
  • Provide internal and external progress status updates.
  • Create Service Work Reports.
  • Ensure that the work is executed according to the company QEHS guidelines and site procedures.
  • Continuously seek solutions in accordance with best practices.


  • Must have Maritime Industry experience.
  • Experience in propulsion shaft alignment and vibrations beneficial.
  • Experience of working with electrical systems beneficial.
  • Hydraulics & system automation experience is an asset.
  • A safety-first mindset.
  • Excellent customer communication skills.
  • Relevant technical education or qualifications as a combination of education and experience.
  • Technical experience in marine engineering with practical problem-solving skills.
  • Proven experience of installation operation, maintenance, and repair.
  • Highly effective technical communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to interact professionally and deliver solutions to customers during the work execution.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft office suite.
  • Must be fluent in English (written & verbal), other languages are helpful but not required.
  • Spanish language (Verbal) skills are an asset.
  • Must be a US citizen located in the USA.
  • Will be required to have or to obtain a current US Passport for travel, both international and domestic, for travel up to 75% of the time.
