Manufacturing Engineer

We are seeking talented engineers to establish and optimize our state-of-the-art recycling lines in Odessa, Texas. Collaborating with our technology team, you will implement and refine SOLARCYCLE’s processes at our primary recycling facility. This entails troubleshooting equipment, designing components using your preferred software (e.g., Inventor, Solidworks, Fusion 360), and incorporating these elements into the production line. While this is not solely an equipment maintenance role, you will be involved in maintenance and directing technicians accordingly. Your responsibilities will also include designing new components, creating new equipment, and developing innovative recycling ideas from conception to implementation. This role reports directly to the Chief Technology Officer and involves close collaboration with our technology (R&D, equipment procurement) and operational teams (Operations Director, floor supervisors, operators, and technicians).

As SOLARCYCLE commences operations and installs new production lines, your role will bridge the gap between the operations and technology teams. You will direct floor technicians and operators while designing and implementing process improvements. Your understanding of the technology team’s innovations will be crucial to ensuring seamless integration with the operations side. Consequently, you will possess a thorough understanding of the entire production line, including its operational mechanisms and components.

Ideal candidates will enjoy seeing projects through from start to finish, working both in an office and on-site at the recycling line. You will collaborate with both technology and operations teams, developing a comprehensive understanding of photovoltaic (PV) manufacturing, materials, and recycling processes. With the technology team, you will devise new processes and products for PV recycling. In partnership with the operations team, you will ensure smooth equipment functioning, troubleshoot issues, and minimize downtime.
