HR Manager

We are looking for a talented HR Manager who will be a critical part of the team, responsible for leading all the operational elements that impact one of the most important and critical pieces of our organization – its people.  This role is a full-time, permanent position based in Odessa, Texas.  We are looking for someone that has experience in both start-ups and larger companies and has breadth of experience in a range of human resource functions.  Primary responsibilities include supporting and coordinating all human resources activities including talent acquisition and retention, compensation and benefits plans, onboarding and training, policies, and people initiatives.  You will be a key member to help guide a fast-growing company to scale and profitability.

Project Location(s): Odessa, TX
Compensation: $70,000-$90,000 annually

DUTIES

  • Leading the process of Talent Acquisition and Retention – recruitment, onboarding, orientation, and training employees.
  • Administer compensation and benefit plans.
  • Provide support to employees in various HR-related topics such as employment terms, terminations, compensation and assist with resolving any issues that may arise.
  • Promote corporate HR programs to create an efficient and conflict-free workplace.
  • Assist in development and lead the implementation of human resource policies.
  • Maintain employee files and records.
  • Enhance job satisfaction by implementing wellbeing activities.
  • Ensure compliance with labor regulations.
  • Monitor employment costs and expenses according to budget.
  • Develop relationships and work closely with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure communication of critical issues in a timely manner.
  • Any other responsibilities that may be assigned from time to time.

REQUIREMENTS

  • 5+ years’ experience managing all or critical aspects of human resources.
  • Bachelor’s Degree or greater.
  • Experience in recruiting and talent acquisition.
  • Strong knowledge of labor laws and employment equity regulations.  Knowledge of general HR policies and compliance obligations (i.e., HIPAA, OHSA, etc.).
  • Confidential, understands the ethical standards of an HR Manager.  Ability to keep privileged information confidential and follow all established guidelines and policies around handling sensitive information.
  • Conscientious about timeliness of assignments and quality of work product.
  • Experience in a fast-paced organization with ability to adapt to and work in a fast growth- oriented and rapid changing environment.
  • Possess exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including ability to articulate recommendations in a concise and timely manner.
  • Able to handle multiple tasks and maintain control and order over same.
  • Ability to operate with substantial latitude in a fast-paced environment.
