Field Service Manager

The Service Manager in Wilcox, AZ provides leadership and direction to Service Technicians to support a 24-hour, 7 day a week operation. Directly supervises Service Technicians and Preventive Maintenance Technicians with emphasis on continued development to further enhance skill sets. The Service Manager manages the Service Department in accordance with State, Federal and OSHA regulations as well as compliance to TDSG policies and procedures while ensuring that objectives are met to include projects, safety, quality, cost, and delivery.

Compensation: $35 - $40 hourly


  • Provides leadership and direction for daily work activities of Service Technicians as well as Preventive Maintenance Technicians engaged in the maintenance, electrical, mechanical and refrigeration, automation and robotics operations to ensure the effective delivery of maintenance services in a 24-hour 7-day per week operation.
  • Ensure that Service Technicians and Preventive Maintenance Technicians have the required information and resources to carry out their tasks effectively.
  • Assists service technicians and preventive maintenance technicians with troubleshooting and recommends appropriate corrective work and repairs of maintenance, electrical, mechanical and refrigeration, automation and robotics equipment.
  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the TDSG policies and procedures, OSHA regulations and applicable laws.
  • Collaborates with Human Resources, Dispatch, Leads, Commercial Account Managers and the division Director to utilize available resources to improve employee safety, quality of work, equipment reliability, and overall equipment effectiveness.
  • Completes quality audits of service and preventive maintenance technicians work tasks and communicates results.
  • Supports and ensures necessary training to new and existing mechanics.
  • Reviews all invoices to ensure that work hours, parts and jobs are billed correctly.
  • Establishes a time-frame for the completion of routine tasks such as pm activities and repairs and reviews the completion of assigned tasks within the prescribed period or deadline.
  • Provides a high level of customer service, responding to customer needs and working to satisfy customer expectations.
  • Maintain a clean and well-kept uniform and truck.
  • Contributes to the overall success by performing other essential duties and responsibilities as assigned.
  • Must possess the ability to communicate orally with customers, vendors, management, and other co-workers, both individually and in front of a group. Regular use of the telephone and e-mail for communication is essential and expected.


  • 5+ years of industrial maintenance experience required, preferably working on dairy processing equipment.
  • Understanding of industrial electrical systems; industrial pneumatic systems, industrial hot water systems, industrial refrigeration systems, motors, compressors, gear boxes and pumps.
  • Knowledge of dairy processing systems troubleshooting and repair.
  • Strong work ethic with mechanical, and or electrical skills.
  • Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal/written communication skills.
  • Ability to adapt to changing organizational and operational needs; ability to lead others through change.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
  • Skill in organization and prioritization, and attention to detail.
  • Strong team player and leader with the ability to work across multiple functions and disciplines.
  • Ability to select, coach, develop, engage, motivate and retain a team of employees.
  • Flexibility with work hours, and the ability to work overtime, nights, and weekend hours when needed.
