Director of IT
The Director of Information Technology (IT) will manage and direct the company’s IT operations implement new systems, and ensure the department provides efficient and effective technical support service. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on leader with strong corporate IT experience in a start-up environment. The goal is to ensure IT systems and people are effective and functioning within the limits of budget, time, and vision of the company.
Project Location(s): Lehi, UT and Fremont, CA
Compensation: $115,000 - $125,000 annually
DUTIES
- Hires and trains IT staff.
- Schedules, organizes, and assigns projects to members of the IT team.
- Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.
- Handles discipline and termination of employees as needed and in accordance with company policy.
- Leads development and implementation processes for the organization’s IT systems and department.
- Develops and implements business continuity protocols to minimize disruption to business operations in the event of emergency situations or data loss.
- Establishes efficiency and efficacy standards, providing recommendations for improvement of IT infrastructure.
- Analyzes IT infrastructure and systems performance to assess operating costs, productivity levels, upgrade requirements, and other metrics and needs.
- Oversees security of systems, networks, and enterprise information.
- Facilitates IT security audits or investigations.
- Develops and maintains relationships with external IT vendors and service providers.
- Coordinates multisite IT systems via enterprise resource planning (ERP).
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
- 7 years of experience in Information Technology.
- 5 years’ experience leading IT teams.
- Experience with a start-up is highly preferred.
- Direct knowledge of infrastructure project management (Server, Network, Operating Systems, Cloud Hosting, Security, etc.)
- A strong understanding of Windows Desktop OS’s in a domain environment.
- Knowledge of Server hardware and operating systems to include building of servers from scratch in a domain environment.
- Active Directory and Azure Configuration, Management, and Troubleshooting.
- Virtualization experience – VMWare and/or Hyper-V.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
